Our Story

It all began with a beautiful blue Scottish Straight kitten we called Luna. She was welcomed into our home and right away, captured our hearts. A couple of months later, we decided that Luna should have a companion. After a long search we found our adorable cream-coloured Scottish Fold, Sol. The first couple of weeks was an all-out war between the high and mighty Luna and the timid soulful Sol. But soon enough, they became best friends, and until this day they call each other to play.

Our love for felines led us to a decision to start a kitten nursery. My sister and I began doing research on best practices as well as the most ethical methods for breeding. Our goal was to blend sound breeding practices with an approach that would give new kitten parents the best pet experience. We looked at several different breeds, attentive to unique qualities new kitten parents might look for in a pet. We settled on Scottish Fold, British Shorthair, and Devon Rex. You can read little about the breeds and their temperments on this page.

Love Paws Cattery is the result of months of careful research, dedication to best practices, but most of all, an unconditional love for animals and a passion for providing you with an enjoyable experience owning your first or next Love Paw.
