Litter Box

This handy litterbox has a top sifter tray that will sift away broken down wood pellets (broken down by urine). Then the intact pellets stay on top. You can shake the top, lift and dispose of the disolved pellets.

Litter Disposal

This is a great tool to store your kitty's waste. Scoop the solid waste from your litter with the included plastic scoop (make sure to keep this clean), deposit it into the reservoir on the top. Once it is full, pull the tab and the waste falls into a bag and a fresh piece of plastic is ready in the reservoir for the next "deposit". This is especially handy for managing odour.

Kitten Brush

A cushion hair brush can become very useful for kitten care. Kittens don't shed much fur until they start to move in adulthood, at around 6 to 12 months. At this age, their kitten coat, which is normally a bit shorter and fluffier than their adult one, starts to fall away so the adult one can grow in. This brush makes the fur removal more comfy for kitty.

Scratching Post

We here at Love Paws highly recommend a scratching post, preferably before you bring kitty home. When a cat scratches, they deposit pheromones onto the object they’re scratching. These pheromones come from tiny glands on all four of your cat’s feet, called interdigital glands, that give off a strong scent when the paw is stretched and the claws are extended. All cats want to feel secure in their homes, and marking their territory helps them feel reassured that the area is safe. If you bring them home and they do not find a scratch post, they will try to deposit their scent elsewhere, maybe your lovely furniture or rugs. Having a string with a ball will encourage them to visit their scratch pad. Once they mark the post, that will be their scratching area.

Litter

We here at Love Paws have found these hard wood pellets quite effective as a litter material. You can scoop out the hard waste easily without removing too much material. Wet waste soaks into the pellets and dissolves the wood. It then sifts to the bottom. Plus you can't beat the under $10 for a 40lb bag.

Kitty Nail Clippers

These clippers are very handy for tidying up your kitty's nails. Keeping your cat's nails trimmed is important because overgrown nails can grow into your cat's paw pad, causing pain (including difficulty walking on the affected limb) and infections. In a pinch, you can use regular human nail clippers, just remember to disinfect after (cats sometimes touch their waste when they are burying it).
